Throughout October there are a huge variety of events taking place at easyJet destinations around Europe, `easyJet highlights` details the best of what`s going on where and just how easy it is to experience them.

BERLIN: The Art Forum Berlin is the 10th annual international trade fair showcasing modern contemporary art from across the globe, it takes place between 29 September to 3 October at the Berlin Exhibition Ground. Considered as one of the most innovative, world-class art shows, Art Forum Berlin features established artists and newcomers and give the public the opportunity to see the art of today that will become the collections of tomorrow.

BELFAST: The 7th Open House Festival takes place between 28 September and 9 October. This music festival takes place in venues all over the city and is a showcase for folk music from England, Ireland and across the globe. Culminating in the Four Corners Fleadh, a four day event between 13 - 16 October in which the music spills out onto the streets, with music sessions, workshops, dance and street performances.
On 31 October the Northern Irish celebrate Halloween in true carnival style with the Metro Monster Mash - a huge street party with live music, light shows and lasers, street entertainers, building up to an impressive firework display.
easyJet flies to Belfast International from Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Liverpool, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted and Newcastle.

COPENHAGEN: 2005 is the 200th birthday of the famous Danish fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen and to celebrate throughout October to December there is a constant flow of theatrical performances, concerts, exhibitions, guided tours and many more specially themed events to bring the writers incredible stories to life.
In the midst of the fairy tale coming to life the city also opens up on the 14 October to the Night of Culture - this special yearly event provides the opportunity to explore the city`s cultural and historic venues that are not usually open to the public. The streets are thriving after dark as the locals hold events, concerts, dancing and display sculptures in unconventional places.

LONDON: Hollywood comes to the West End! Acting on the world famous West End stages is becoming an increasing trend amongst high profiled Hollywood stars and the latest to join the fold is Kevin Spacey, star of The Usual Suspects and American Dream. Spacey makes his Shakespeare debut as Richard II at the Old Vic Theatre from 4 October until 24 November. Alternatively other famous movie stars can be seen in shows such as Ewan McGregor in Guys and Dolls, Rob Lowe in A Few Good Men, Kate O`Mara in The Titfield Thunderbolt, Brian Dennehy in Death of a Sales Man and Val Kilmer in The Postman Always Rings Twice.

The National Portrait Gallery has created the first large scale exhibition of self portraits ranging from Renaissance to Contemporary styles, bringing artists own images together from across periods and places, visitors have the opportunity to view work from Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Francis Bacon, Lucien Freud and Andy Warhol in one exhibition. The event opens on 20 October and will run through to 29 January 2006.

MADRID: The Immaculate Virgin Exhibition takes place between 29 September to 12 October in Madrid`s Cathedral. This huge display of works of art from all over the Spanish diocese, explores the historical and artistic path of the different expressions of the sin-free conception of the Virgin. Works from artists such as Berruguete, Pedro de Mena, El Greco, Zurbaran and Murillo are featured.
The month long `Autmun Festival` also kicks off on 6 October, which focuses on the city`s cultural attractions. theatrical, musical and dance performances take place in 12 different venues around the city providing a contrasting taste of traditional and modern Spanish arts.

MUNICH: The world famous beer festival - Oktoberfest takes place in the German city between 16th September and 4 October.

PRAGUE: The Czech Republic goes Jazz mad in October, starting in the spa town of Karlovy with 22nd annual International Jazz Festival between 1 - 2 October, which is a showcase for both traditional and modern jazz. This if followed by the AghaRTA Prague Jazz festival on 4 October and runs throughout the month and is held in Jazz clubs accross the city.
easyJet flies to Prague from Bristol, Gatwick, Stansted, Newcastle and Nottingham East Midlands.

VALENCIA: The land of Valencia festival takes place between 7 - 9 October and marks the anniversary of the conquering of Valencia (for the second time) by King Jaume I in 1238. The celebrations are based around a huge colourful civic parade presided over by the `Reial Senyera` - the Land of Valencia Flag and culminates in the feast of San Dionis. The feast is a reflection of the love residents and visitors develop for the region and its culture, during which it is traditional to give gifts of `mocadora` - sweet meats wrapped in a neckerchief.easyJet operates daily flights to Valencia - the city of light, from Bristol, Gatwick and Stansted.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.
