Le Meridien Al Aqah appoints new director of business development
Friday, July 28, 2006
With his `Le Meridien` pedigree – having served at Le Meridien Amman, in his native Jordan – Nadim Belbeisi is set to drive business further in his new role as Director of Business Development at the East Coast landmark, Le Meridien Al Aqah.

Heading up the sales and marketing team, Belbeisi will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the reservation, banquet sales, public relations and marketing departments. He will also oversee the strategic implementation of market analysis surveys and have a general hand in the full operations of the hotel, with the aim of guaranteeing its peak performance across the board.

“Excellent service and unsurpassable guest relations is our ethos at Le Meridien Al Aqah,” said Patrick Antaki, general manager, Le Meridien Al Aqah. “With his extensive experience and expertise in the hospitality industry, I am positive that Mr. Belbeisi will make a valuable contribution to our team of valued employees.”

Belbeisi added: “With my previous experience within Le Meridien hotel group, I am proud to be working for company’s most unique properties.”

“Fujairah is a wonderful location and, when I’m not bullying the sales team into driving business, I very much look forward to participating in some of the many outdoor activities on offer here, including deep-water fishing and scuba diving!”

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
