Marsdens Cottage Holidays launches video tours to better promote Devon
Thursday, January 18, 2007
Marsdens Cottage Holidays in United Kingdom has launched a series of video tours of Devon and its tourist attractions through its site that will allow people to visually experience and research their holiday destination with friends and family, prior to booking.

Peter Cornwell, a partner of Marsdens Cottage Holidays comments “Technology is changing the consumer’s decision making process across all sectors, and Marsdens is embracing that innovation. We want to transform the holiday choosing process forever by empowering clients with the ability to embark on a virtual tour of their chosen holidaydestination before they have even left their front room.”

“I don’t think this is the death of the traditional holiday brochure, but it is important for us, and Devon itself, to continue to look for new and dynamic ways to engage the public and promote the county as a tourist destination,” Cornwell continues.

How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
