
Under the second contract, the Spanish flag carrier will conduct exhaustive “C”-type inspections of the aircraft structure, systems, and interior and exterior zones.
A third contract covers the inspection, maintenance, and periodic overhaul of the four CFM56-5C4 engines powering the Airbus A-340.
The contracts are exclusive and have a five-year duration. Conviasa began operations in May, 2001 to contribute to the development of Venezuela as a tourist destination with domestic and international passenger flights, on which it also carries freight and mail. It has a modern fleet of thirteen aircraft.
