New Master of Science Degree (M.Sc.) in Hospitality and Tourism Management by TRINITY
Monday, January 21, 2008
TRINITY International School of Tourism Management has established itself as a leading school of undergraduate studies in tourism and hospitality management in Europe. Students pursuing TRINITY’s Bachelor of Science Degree are enrolled in one of three majors:
  1. Hospitality and Tourism Management
  2. Convention, Event and Exhibition Management or
  3. Food, Beverage and Culinary Management.
These programs are certified by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). UNWTO employs the TEDQUAL Certification System which supports excellence and quality in tourism education.

TRINITY’s
success can be attributed, in large part, to the outstanding quality of its various programs, its very selective approach to the recruitment of students, its unique blending of theory and practice and its ability to respond quickly and creatively to the ever-changing landscape of the tourism and hospitality industry.

In response to the large and growing demand within Europe and beyond, particularly in those countries which are in the process of rapidly developing tourism as a mainstay of their economies, TRINITY also offers an outstanding master’s degree program in tourism and hospitality management. This Master’s Degree is unique in that it creatively combines sound business theory with current and relevant theory in tourism and hospitality management and the need for research into the industry.

General Description of the Master’s Degree Programme

The Master of Science Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management is structured to meet the needs of:
  1. holders of undergraduate degrees in hospitality and tourism management, and
  2. those having degrees in other disciplines who are looking for a qualification which will allow them to enter the industry in managerial capacities.
Successful candidates from the second category will be enrolled in a “bridging programme” which provides them with the necessary academic background in the field and professional experience in the form of a supervised practicum / internship.

The flexibility of the program is ensured through several related features:
  1. the possibility of completing the degree on a full-time or part-time basis,
  2. fulfilling degree requirements in several modes including traditional semester-long courses, intersession courses and intensive compressed courses, and
  3. continuous student intake.

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
