Asiana Airlines now flying with Aviareps
Friday, March 07, 2008

Aviareps has won Asiana Airlines as a new client. The Korean Carrier has appointed the global airline representative for the handling of all sales and marketing activities in France. With immediate effect, the new client’s account will be managed by the Aviareps subsidiary in Paris. Responsible for all operations carried out in the French market on behalf of Asiana Airlines is Jean-Michel Bohn, General Manager of Aviareps France.

As from the 31st of March 2008, a new flight from Paris CDG to Seoul Incheon International Airport will be implemented. This long-haul connection will be operated three times a week with a plane of the type Boeing B777 in two-class configuration.

Asiana Airlines, established in 1988, started with a domestic flight service by connecting the South Korean capital Seoul with the cities Busan and Gwangju. After the rapid expansion of their domestic route map, the carrier started to fly to its first international destination just two years after its foundation. Today Asiana Airlines is serving 17 countries, 65 cities and 81 destinations – among them Frankfurt, London and Paris (as from March 2008) in Europe. Asiana Airlines is a member of Star Alliance and currently uses a fleet of 65 aircrafts of the type Airbus and Boeing.

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
