Tralliance Corporation President and CEO speaking at Travel Distribution Summit Latin America 2008
Friday, March 28, 2008

Tralliance Corporation President and CEO, Edward A. Cespedes, addresses one of the largest travel expositions in Latin America on Tuesday, April 2, 2008.  Eye for Travel’s 2008 Travel Distribution Summit in Mexico City is a two-day conference that provides a unique opportunity to discuss the real strategies that will enable travel companies to enhance their presence and sales to the Latin American market.

In its third successful year, the event will bring together over 150 senior travel professionals to share knowledge and form partnerships that will enable them to profit from this fast growing and dynamic emerging marketplace.  The event will be opened by Mexico’s Minister for Tourism, Lic. Rodolfo Elizondo Torres.  Throughout the two-day conference, the minister will be joined by over 20 other distribution experts from all sectors of the industry.

Of the many esteemed travel and technology experts, Cespedes will be speaking on April 2 amongst a cohort of his peers focusing on Online Sales and Marketing Techniques.  With a background heavy in technology from the Internet’s boom in the 1990s to present, Cespedes brings a wealth of knowledge and an intuitive sense as to where opportunities lie, how to maximize sales, revenues, and profits, and what is hot in eMarketing.  With emphasis on domain name importance to eMarketing in Web 2.0, Cespedes and the Tralliance team look forward to participating in such a seminar at the very forefront of the travel and technology industry.

How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
