Hertz and Opodo sign new pan European contract

Online travel site Opodo has renewed its long-standing contract with Hertz. The collaboration allows new and existing Opodo customers from France, Germany, Italy and the UK access to a ‘one stop shop’ for booking flights and car rental around the world, with the best car rental rates and special offers available from Hertz.

Ignacio Martos, Chief Executive Officer, Opodo comments: “The relationship that we have with Hertz allows Opodo to continue to offer its customers the very best in terms of convenience, quality and reliability. As a market leader in its field, Hertz offers innovative car rental and wide consumer choice, making this partnership a perfect fit for us.”

Gina Costa, Director Travel Distribution Europe, Hertz, said: “We are delighted to be renewing our partnership with Opodo, allowing us to cross-sell and reach potential customers at a key point in the travel planning process. We are constantly looking for ways of improving our service offering. With Opodo, our customers have access to more choice and additional benefits via a simple and effective online booking process”.

Opodo and Hertz are key partners of the OpenTravel(TM) Alliance (OTA). The OTA consists of a group of major travel providers working together to create and implement messages for use within the travel industry based on OTA's e-business requirements.
