Ethiopian Airlines was named the official carrier for the 2008 Leon H. Sullivan Summit. The airline will bring two 767 jetliners from Washington, D.C. to Arusha, Tanzania for the Summit, which takes place June 2 – 6, 2008. Although the planes will depart from Dulles International Airport on two separate dates (May 28 and May 30), both flights will arrive in Arusha on Saturday, May 31, 2008.
Knights Inn Canada welcomed its newest franchise with the opening of the Knights Inn Orillia, Ontario. “We’re thrilled that the Knights Inn Orillia has joined our growing family,” said Knights Inn Canada President Glen Blake, “they’ve embraced our commitment to providing clean, quality accommodations to budget-minded travellers.”
On behalf of GF Management, Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels’ select service division announced the sale of the Country Inn & Suites Charlotte to SNS Hospitality. “This was a fantastic opportunity for the buyer to acquire a six year old property in a market with significant upside potential,” said Ros Mallory, a vice president for Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels. “Due to the development in the area, the hotel has experienced strong growth over the last few years. We expect that trend to continue as Charlotte remains one of the nation’s most attractive and fastest growing markets.”
