Aviation Outlook and Jetfuels 2008, 25 -26 June, Singapore
Friday, May 30, 2008
Date: 25 -26 June, 2008
Venue: InterContinental, Singapore
Website: www.ibc-asia.com/aviation

Aviation Outlook and Jetfuels 2008 is built with risk in mind, as markets become more volatile, and oil prices surge past many a physiological barrier. The opportunities from Asia’s growing Chinese and Indian markets together with the growth of budget carriers will be assessed to reveal aviation’s true potential. In such challenging times, the industry must understand the risk of rising fuels costs, supply and availability as well as the supply infrastructure and investments required to deliver this potential.

As aviation fuel emerges as one of the biggest operation costs for airlines, there is an urgent need to ensure bottom line is not breached. The conference will bring together industry leaders to address key initiatives in driving jetfuel efficiency and the development of alternative fuels and fuel efficient aircrafts. Delegates will gain a greater understanding of the opportunities as well as the tools necessary to manage risk along the long road to delivering aviation industry’s true potential.

How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
