Grand City Hotels & Resorts goes international with AVIAREPS
Friday, September 05, 2008
AVIAREPS, the world’s leading representation company, announces the acquisition of a new client from the hotel sector: recently, Grand City Hotels & Resorts has given the mandate for their representation of eight territories. This expands the reach of the company’s 50 hotels to the markets of Belgium, the Netherlands, China, Italy, France, Spain, Scandinavia and Israel. In these countries, AVIAREPS will now handle all sales, marketing, reservation and ticketing activities on behalf of the hotel group headquartered in Berlin (Germany).

Besides providing professional marketing consultancy and representation in the respective markets, AVIAREPS will focus on its assignment for Grand City Hotels & Resorts on the corporate and leisure market. This includes contacts with tour operators, travel managers, individual sales calls as well as a presence at fairs, exhibitions and events. In the business sector, the services will be concentrated on groups.

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
