Golden Air and Lufttransport choose Hahn Air’s E-Ticketing Solution
Thursday, September 11, 2008
Swedish carrier Golden Air and Norwegian airline Lufttransport have chosen Hahn Air’s e-ticketing solution to cope with the requirements of e-ticketing in the Global Distribution Systems. Hahn Air’s e-go plus® solution enables the airlines to outsource the issuance of e-tickets in some 100 countries. Joining Hahn Air’s e-ticket database hosted by Amadeus, the airlines do not have to invest in an own expensive e-ticketing infrastructure. At the same time, they enlarge their presence in the BSPs (Billing & Settlement Plans) / ARC (Airlines Reporting Corporation) to a global scale generating extra revenue from 70.000 IATA travel agencies.

Simon Riha, Director Distribution Solutions at Hahn Air points out: “Many airlines do not see the possibility to heavily invest in an own e-ticketing environment and rather contract a partition in our e-ticketing database. This saves them money from a completely outsourced e-ticketing / interline e-ticketing solution while maintaining its standard procedures for other sales channels.”

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
