AVIAREPS expands international GSA activities into Slovenia
Thursday, September 11, 2008
AVIAREPS, the world’s leading service provider in airline and tourism management, continues on its course of steady expansion. The renowned Munich-based General Sales Agent (GSA) is now activating Slovenia as a new market for its customers. The Austrian office in Vienna, which has been a part of the AVIAREPS network for ten years and is among its most successful branch offices, will carry out all activities. Responsible for the smooth conduct of business in Slovenia will be Sonja Buocz-Lamatsch, General Manager of AVIAREPS Austria.

AVIAREPS represents two distinguished customers in Slovenia: the Indian premium carrier Jet Airways and Ukraine’s leading airline Ukraine International Airlines. Both are already clients of AVIAREPS’ Austrian branch and will extend existing collaboration onto the new market. Jet Airways first commissioned AVIAREPS ten years ago and is now represented by its GSA partner in eight European countries. Ukraine International Airlines also relies on AVIAREPS for professional representation in no fewer than six European countries.

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
