MPI UK Charter secures presentation 'guru' for Educational Masterclass
Monday, September 29, 2008
Graham Davies, the presentation and communication coach to influential politicians and celebrities throughout the UK, will lead an exclusive Masterclass as part of the ongoing MPI UK Chapter Educational Programme.

The high profile ‘guru’ will run a leadership session looking at presenting and communicating ‘for impact’, drawing on all his experiences as presentation coach to the Conservative Party as well as other high profile celebrities such as Colin Jackson, Gaby Logan and Richard Dunwoody. Graham will also be recognised for his TV work providing insight into the US elections on Sky as well as partaking on the news channel’s paper reviews.

“Meetings executives are increasingly being asked to fulfil a PR role as part of their professional duties and it is the role of MPI to react to these trends,” comments Dawn French, Educational Chair MPI UK Chapter. “Having a profile as strong as Graham’s is a real coup for the Chapter and I know his presentation will be of huge value to our members”.

Graham Davies is an expert in the area of communication, perception management and handling the media. His background as President of the UK's Cambridge Union and a criminal barrister in London, enables him to share valuable techniques in communicating a message. The Presentations Skills Masterclass is ‘About You, and Raising Your Presentation Power and Impact’.

"It is the role of MPI to provide education for all levels within our industry. This event is aimed at the more experienced players in the industry and carries with it a health warning; it is not for sensitive souls!”.

Graham Davies’ session will be an all day session taking place on the 11th December at the Barbican, London.

How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
