Friday, October 17, 2008
AVIAREPS and FlyLAL are now expanding their existing partnership to Hungary in order to increase outbound traffic from this market. Up to this point, the world’s leading airline and tourism representative was already contracted as General Sales Agent (GSA) of Lithuania’s national carrier, representing it in the German market. With immediate effect, the AVIAREPS subsidiary located in Budapest will handle all sales, marketing and ticketing activities on behalf of FlyLAL. Responsible for all operations carried out in the Hungarian market is Janos Varadi – General Manager of AVIAREPS Hungary.
On 28 October 2008, Lithuania’s well-respected carrier FlyLAL will implement a new connection from Budapest to its base airport in Vilnius. The route will be operated with a Saab 2000 aircraft on a thrice-weekly basis – on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The flights will depart around midday and will take less than two hours. The Hungarian capital further complements the airline’s extensive route network to destinations all over Europe. Currently FlyLAL serves a total of 20 cities, such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Dublin, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Kiev, London, Moscow, Paris, Riga, Rome, Stockholm and Tallinn.
