Cypriot charter airline Eurocypria Airlines has commissioned AVIAREPS as its representative in Germany and Austria. Effective immediately, the world’s leading General Sales Agent (GSA) is responsible for all sales, marketing and reservation activities – the office in Frankfurt am Main will carry out all activities for both markets. On behalf of Eurocypria Airlines, Sales Manager Goetz Heberlein will be responsible for the successful handling of all operations.
Eurocypria Airlines will operate flights to Cyprus from six German cities (Berlin, Hanover, Dusseldorf, Leipzig, Dresden and Munich) and three Austrian cities (Vienna, Graz, Salzburg). The charter airline will service two airports on this island nation in the Mediterranean: Paphos and Larnaka. Eurocypria’s 2009 summer schedule will offer four connections a week from Germany to Cyprus and two connections a week from Austria to Cyprus.
The Cypriot airline began operations in 1992 as a subsidiary of Cyprus Airways. Since it was founded, Eurocypria Airlines has worked towards the goal of linking Europe with Cyprus via convenient, direct flights. Today the charter airline operates a widespread route network with more than 70 destinations in 20 countries. Its fleet currently comprises six Boeing B737-800 aircraft. “We are delighted that a charter airline that has already established such an impressive presence on the European aviation market has chosen us. Eurocypria Airlines is a valuable addition to our international customer network,” says Edgar Lacker, Vice President of Passenger Sales Germany at AVIAREPS.
