We will now get an opportunity to showcase the splendour of Oman and extend the renowned Omani hospitality to our esteemed guests. We are sure that we will be able to pull this off with much fanfare.

Oman Air has created a niche for itself since its inception in 1993. Today Oman Air is a familiar sight and a preferred airline for the discerning traveller in the region. The company with its team of dedicated and skilled workforce has earned an enviable reputation in the region. It covers 20 international destinations and two domestic destinations with a young fleet of B737NG and ATRs. It offers the first ever intra-Gulf commuter services and provides code-sharing arrangements with leading international airlines to Zurich and Dubai. Today, the distinct `Khanjar` of Oman Air has become an increasingly familiar sight at international airports. Oman Air today is a perfect mix of modern vision and timeless traditions and is ready for the future along with the strengths of the past.

How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
