HFTP enhances HITEC.org with new features added for both attendees and exhibitors
Wednesday, May 25, 2005
Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) announced new enhancements to www.hitec.org, including an interactive Buyer`s Guide and real-time exhibitor updates.

In the new Buyer`s Guide addition, attendees can browse through a complete list of the 2005 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC) exhibitors along with their product listings. The ability to search by name or by product will ensure attendees consider every vendor who is offering a product they are looking to buy. By clicking Add to My Exhibit List attendees will create a customized list of must-visit booths, saving valuable time in the exhibit hall. The web site also sorts exhibitors by booth number so that attendees can easily find the companies they want to approach according to the area of the hall they are in.

These enhancements were made as a result of attendee feedback, said Frank Wolfe, CAE, executive vice president and CEO of HFTP. These new features are designed to be a valuable timesaver for both attendees and exhibitors. By creating their own custom exhibitor lists, attendees will pinpoint the companies they need to visit on the 2005 tradeshow floor.

With the new exhibitor enhancements on www.hitec.org, current HITEC exhibitors can update their contact information directly through the web site in real time. This guarantees that their most current information is displayed online, as well as in their permanent record with HFTP.

The Buyer`s Guide will be available at HITEC.org year-round, so attendees will be able to easily reference back to companies they talked to at HITEC or missed when they return to their offices. The feature can be accessed by going to the Attend section of the HITEC web site and clicking on the HITEC Buyer`s Guide link on the left-hand menu.

HITEC 2005 is June 20-23 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles. HITEC 2005 will offer more than 35 education sessions presented by the world`s foremost hospitality technology experts. This year`s sessions have a range of topics such as the Club Technology Boot Camp, Emerging Technologies, Future of Systems Integration, What to Look for When Purchasing High Speed Internet Access, Property Management, VoIP and Customer Relationship Management.

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
