The Association of Travel Marketing Executives (ATME) announces its 25th anniversary conference taking place June 21-22 at the new Wynn Las Vegas Resort.

As the only worldwide organization of its kind to provide members with an ongoing forum for exchanging creative ideas and effective marketing solutions, ATME`s 2005 Annual Conference will Focus on the Future of travel industry marketing by hosting timely, productive conference sessions. The event is capped with the annual ATME Atlas Awards Banquet where Steve Wynn, Chairman of Wynn Resorts, will be presented the 2005 Lifetime Achievement Award

In a time when travel suppliers must find ways to differentiate themselves from competitors or risk being lost in a price consolidated crowd, it is more essential than ever that the travel industry markets themselves as effectively and efficiently as possible, said Gary Sain, chairman of ATME`s board of directors. In the 25th anniversary conference, we have gathered senior travel marketing executives from all facets of the industry to fully address the issues that travel marketers are facing today and beyond.

How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.
